Senior Brand and Communications Manager

This brand needs an ambitious Senior Brand Manager to take it to the next level, to bring their story to life, shout about their USPs (of which there are many) and inspire a very creative approach to how they talk about our business. As Senior Brand Manager you will lead a team of 4, implementing the brand strategy to create the brands point of difference. You will be responsible for bringing the brand to life, from the way they talk to their customers and build their propositions to how they brief their agencies and create moments of delight for their customers.

Your will have 4 key areas of responsibility:
1] Develop and roll out the brands Brand strategy, working closely with the People and Culture team to bring it to life and engaging with the Customer Operations, Proposition and Innovation teams to ensure adoption and ongoing engagement.
2] Create compelling brand, acquisition and retention campaigns that tell the brands story in a way that is relevant to our target audiences.
3] Manage the brands agency roster, from selection, onboarding, performance to exit.
4] Create branded assets, proof points and messaging for the rest of the business to use in customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather market and customer insight to shape the brands brand offering. How do we tell our story and how can we use it to drive acquisition and retention.
• Work closely with the proposition and digital teams to ensure brand alignment.
• Manage creative, print and promotional agencies. Building strong working relationships, encouraging collaboration and managing performance through agreed SLAs.
• Own the KPIs for brand awareness, customer retention and off line acquisition. Reporting weekly on progress verses plan.
• Lead on the creative direction for the brand, exploiting our unique business approach and USPs to deliver stand out messaging, assets and experiences.
• Manage the Customer marketing team, ensuring we build powerful relationships with our customers; creating high levels of engagement and moments of delight in order to achieve our retention targets.
• Manage two customer campaign executives. Inspiring them to create market leading acquisition campaigns that break the category mold and deliver stand out for the brand.
• Meet regularly with key stakeholders to build trust and engagement across the business.

About You
• Passionate and creative you will have the ability to translate customer needs and market insight into powerful creative.
• Highly commercial with experience of delivering brand and customer growth
• Positive, engaging and a high-energy individual who can build enthusiasm and commitment in a busy environment.
• An excellent communicator with the ability to inspire and forge strong working relationships across a number of functional and virtual teams.
• Has gravitas and confidence to liaise with all levels of the organisation from our customer facing teams through to senior management.
• Insightful and inquisitive.
• Organised and articulate – able to move between finite detail and the big picture, with ease.
• Proactive. An excellent problem solver who focuses on making things happen.
• Enthusiastic about improvement, ambitious, and able to challenge in a collaborative style.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Marketing degree
• Minimum of 6 years Brand Marketing experience with evidence of increasing brand awareness.
• 5 years customer marketing experience
• Evidence of delivering customer growth.
• Inspiring leader, with at least 5 years managerial experience
• Evidence of working cross functionally and / or with virtual teams
• Highly commercial with the ability to demonstrate an understanding of pricing, margins, cost to serve and life time value.
• P&L ownership
• Senior stakeholder management and influencing skills
